10 Months: Walking, Falling, Bumps, and Skipped Heartbeats

10 Months started off with a bang with our little walker. She is everywhere and into EVERYTHING! The scariest thing is her falling all the time. The poor girl is so clumsy because she doesn't watch where she is going, which is expected since she is only 10 months. I feel so bad for her poor head because she constantly hits it. I am constantly hearing her yell or cry out mad because she falls, stubs her toe, trips over her feet, etc. She gasps a lot when she falls. She tries to run, which ends in falling. When she is getting tired she gets really clumsy and she speeds up. It is harder to put her to sleep now as well because she wants to go, go, go! I was very happy when she started walking but I had no idea how nerve-wracking it would be for me with all her falls.

In the video below her feet look broken. The onezie is too big and her feet are outside of the footed end which makes her look pigeon toed.

My heart skipped a few beats the other night when she fell off the bed. I was lying right by her and she was doing her wallering. All of a sudden she fell off backwards. I grabbed her by her leg but her pajamas were too slick and she went down. Luckily I slowed her fall but she landed on her head. She is a strong little girl, only cried for about a minute. Luckily she landed between the bed and base board heater. I am so thankful she didn't hit the heater.
These are the faces you get when you say, "Andi, please sit still!"

The weather has gotten colder which means, footed pajamas for her!! I love them!! They were my favorite as a kid too!!! She looks so cute in them!!
She went to her check-up and the pediatrician was really impressed with her. She was still 9 months at the time and couldn't believe she was walking. She said she is very advanced. She is considered at a 15-month old level for her talking, movements, etc. She is a smart, little girl, for sure! She is really big into pointing. we play a game when she points. We take where she is pointing and say what it is. As soon as we get there, she is pointing at something else. It can go on for a long time. She says 4 words and drinks from her sippy on her own. She LOVES water! My next project is to start weaning her from the bottle and pacifier. The pediatrician said she would like to see her off both of them by the time she is one. We shall see. The bottle I am not too worried about, it is the pacifier. She LOVES it so much!

Trying to get a picture of her that isn't blurry is incredibly difficult now.

I have started planning her first birthday! I can't believe it's two months away! It will be a puppy dog theme! I have found the perfect party supplies!
Hopefully I can get the images placed on her cake! I am going to get her a rocking horse for her birthday and I think for Christmas Matt is getting her a baby four-wheeler. A four-wheeler and bow is what he is looking forward to getting her the most. The bow starts next year, then it will get bigger and bigger until it is a legit shooting bow. He wants her to compete in tournaments like him. It will be there father-daughter time, as well as four-wheeling. She likes the four-wheeler, Matt and her papa take her out on it and she enjoys the ride. She is going to be an outdoors girl, for sure!
I have mentioned before how she loves the dishwasher! I finally remembered to get my camera. She likes to suck on the rinse aid spout and drink the water.

She did the cutest thing yesterday! I was cleaning her room and I had clothes strewn all in her floor getting them organized. She is clothes poor in 18 months. She was crawling all over the clothes and lying in the piles then would lay on me. She then crawled over to the door and just stared at me with a hurt look. Which I knew she was wanting some attention but I had a massive mess going. She walked out and came back with a book and crawled into my lap. So I read it to her! She has never done that before!! It was so cute! She has started bringing us different things that she takes off the table or gets elsewhere so we have started saying 'thank you' and 'your welcome' so she catches on.
Her bangs have gotten so long,we are going to have to trim them. They are getting in her face. Her hair isn't thick enough to pull into a pony yet.

At her check-up she was right at 19 lbs and 28 in. She is in the 40th percentile across the board. She is very proportionate in all areas. She is petite and I think she will be petite as she gets older. Her legs have really lost a lot of the flab. They are getting muscular. She definitely has a strong foundation.
She looks like Matt in the pic above. She really is a combination of us both but there are days where she favors one us more.
There's that finger! She likes to eat fruit  in her mesh bag so she can suck on it. She is eating a peach here.

I have finally put our living room back together like it was before we had a baby. I packed her walker, jumper, and swing away since she no longer uses them. It is hard to believe how fast time has gone by. Finding space to store her stuff until the next one comes along is a bit challenging in a small house! Hopefully we will upgrade when we have our second child!

We Have a Walker!

 One....
 Two....
 Three...

Over the past two weeks Andi has started walking. Each day she gets more confident and goes further. She is up to walking the length of some rooms now. It is amazing watching her progress and how excited she gets!

The weather has been nice, fall temperatures which makes the outdoors more enjoyable. The pic below is priceless. She isn't too crazy about walking on the grass! However, she will play with it.

I couldn't get her to take very many steps outside, but that night I got it on video!
Now we are going to go back to when it was first beginning. She started standing alone a little before she was 9 months. The funny thing is she always had to have something in her hands to balance her like a coaster, Matt's house shoe, remote, or sippy cup.

She was starting to get brave going from the coffee table to the couch and vice versa.

She still loves to look outside and bang on the door. She also likes to press her face against the glass and stick her tongue out. The bank got to enjoy her doing this when I had to take care of some business. A room full of glass walls kept her and the people in the bank entertained!
I don't know why, but I think she looks like my mom in this pic.

We still have our most common outing: Wal-mart. She still acts well, we haven't had a melt down yet. As long as she has her paci, we are good!

I have mentioned before she loves to waller. Here's a camera roll:

We are getting her accustomed to shoes. At first she didn't know what to think but now she is a little better at wearing them. Keeping them on and socks is a challenge though.

 Watching daddy shave.

I can't believe how fast she is growing. She is entering toddlerhood and it is getting crazy!

She gets into things at 90 mile an hour now. She has gotten her hand slapped several times because she likes to get a hold of things she shouldn't. She likes to help unload the dishwasher, mainly the utensils that gets her hand slapped and laundry baskets. She likes to get in drawers and take things out and throw her food. She is a constant mess maker...lol. I say no a lot these days and the more stern I am, the more we have a tantrum. Little miss is definitely not lacking in the personality department.

She has started pointing at our family picture on the wall and going ooh, ooh. She has also gotten really vocal, meaning loud. She has also started clicking her tongue a lot. She has also started trying to kiss the dogs. She will lean over with her mouth open, eyes closed toward their noses. JuJu gets up and leaves, Sam gives her a big kiss. Her and Sam have become quite the pals. He is constantly licking her and will chew up her pacifiers. I think that might be a way to break her from them by saying the dog ate them.

As for her sleep habits. Each night is different, never is she consistent. One night she will not make a peep and the next she is up and down. I never know what to expect. Next week she has her 9 month check-up and we are excited to see how much she has changed since her 6 month exam!

Andi: 9 Months and a Cold

Well she lasted nine months before getting her first cold, thanks to me! I came down with whatever is going around, head/chest cold. My worst days where I was running a fever, I was off so I had Andi all day. I tried not to breath on her but she ended up catching it. This was about 2 weeks ago. She is getting over her cold but the runny nose has been a nightmare! She hates to have her face wiped and the poor girl's nose was stopped up a lot or she would be blowing snot bubbles. I bought nasal spray for her and Matt would have to hold her in a head lock so I could get it up her nose! What a fit she would throw! The bulb syringes are worthless! I hate them! They do not work well at all, especially with a squirmy baby!

Even though she had her cold and fever, she still was a happy baby most the time. She tends to take things well, however she has started throwing more fits. I think it might just be her age. One minute she will want you to hold her and don't dare put her down, then she wants down and don't dare pick her up. She will scream sitting in the floor and turn bright red, holding her breath. Last night I made her mad because I told her no when she wanted to get the remote and she started screaming at me. She is a very strong-willed little girl. She will throw things when she is having a fit. Matt and I got a kick out of it because he would give her blocks and she would throw them as fast as he gave them to her while she screamed.

The newest thing she does is walk with her musical toy, pushing it. She will just take off with it and gets so excited!
She is standing alone a lot now, especially when she has things in her hands. Then she realizes she isn't holding onto anything then slowly squats down. She cruises a lot now too from couch to coffee table to sofa table.
She does this grunt thing and goes oooh, oooh and flares her nostrils when she does it. The picture shows the face she makes when she does it. She does it a lot. It is her way of talking or get your attention.
Trying to get a picture of her not blurry because she is moving, constantly is very difficult!
The cutest thing that Matt and her do is have a nightly game they play. He will get on all fours and act like a bear and come after her. She will crawl as fast as she can, usually to me squealing! Then she will bury her head in my leg. Then he will hide behind the door and pop out at her and she will scream and get excited! I have tried to video tape it but Matt says I am ruining the moment which really means, he doesn't want to be on video acting silly!
The things she likes to play with the most is the remote, Matt's house shoes, the coasters, and her piano.

Of course everything goes into the mouth several times. She likes the dishwasher and fridge too. She will try to crawl on top of the lid of the dishwasher and she will take the bottles out of the door in the fridge. Usually when I am cooking, she likes to be standing by me, so I open the fridge and let her play with the bottles. It usually entertains her long enough for me to get stuff cooked.
She absolutely loves bath time. When she hears the water running or even the shower come on, she is immediately in there all excited bouncing.
When ever we eat in the living room, this is how it looks. Andi and the dogs like to pester for food. She really is as bad as the dogs, lol. She LOVES, LOVES manicotti. I make it with spinach and she eats so much of it. She really eats anything we eat.

One of the funniest things she does is dance. She has just started doing this whenever I sing to her. I will do a little dance and she will start bobbing her head and waving her arms up and down, bouncing. She is definitely a ham!

She still hasn't any teeth. What is frustrating is you can see them through her gums! I hope she has some by the time she is 1, which isn't far away.

A lot of times I feel guilty because I work so much and such random hours that I don't get to spend a lot of time with her. I am thankful though that the family is able to keep her. I just feel like I miss out on a lot, sometimes. Hopefully I can cut back hours once I get my debt paid off. My goal is the end of next year!
