This past month she has had quite a few milestones. It is crazy how fast she is progressing weekly! She has started to kind of cruise around. She pulls up on all the furniture and then walks sideways. She has started using just one hand now holding on. She will also follow us into the kitchen when we cook and pull up on us and stand along side of us. She has stood alone for about 3 seconds. She will squat to pick things up and then stand back up so it really is just a matter of time until our lives will really change.
She uses her musical walker toy and takes a few steps with it until it backs into our coffee table. She is all over the house trying to climb on and up things.
I got her a jenny jumper and gave it to my parents to hang in their living room. She loves it!!! It is really funny watching her jump around in it!
She is trying to get her pacifier. She is very determined with anything that is out of reach!
She has also started saying dada A LOT!!! She says it most when she is around him, so we are starting to think she has started associating the word to him. Matt is tickled pink with it! She will respond back to you when you say it. It is funny how she concentrates while she says it and enunciates it very well. She has said mama occasionally. She also has said baba and her own gibberish. It is funny watching her sound out all the vowels and the ways she forms her mouth to say them. She loves dada so much she has started yelling it now. The first video is when she first started saying it two weeks ago, and the next one is now.
She no longer likes baby food. She eats table food. She loves bananas, oatmeal, avocado, eggs, pasta and pretty much everything we eat. If we are eating she has to be eating. So no longer can I pop open a tub of baby food...now it is all cooking.
I've got to say hallejuah for the past couple of days! She has slept through the night! We have been making sure to exhaust her at night so I think that has helped. I hope this isn't just a phase. It is nice to be able to get rest!
A couple of weeks ago she got her first doll. We went to get one for Matt's niece and Andi wanted it so we got her one too. If you give her options, she will pick the toy she wants. The doll we got his niece kissed and said I love you, the one Andi chose giggled. She likes to drag it around.
She has also started trying to kiss back when you give her a kiss. I didn't realize at first what she was trying to do because she would open her mouth and go for my face. I thought she was trying to eat me..lol. Then she has started doing it with Christie too so that's when we realized she was trying to kiss back!
She knows what the word "no" means. She has gotten better at obeying it. I mainly am telling her no when she tries to get into the dog food bowls! I have caught her twice playing with the food and rubbing it on the floor. Thankfully she hasn't put it in her mouth. Apparently I had a problem getting into the dog food as a baby too.
We can't wait to see what she will be doing by the end of this month! We sure do love her more and more each day!
